Music & Worship

In the Music Ministry here at BCCC, it is our desire to do as Paul said in Col. 3:16, "Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you, with all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God." We don't believe that music is the only place in the service for worship nor the sermon the only place for teaching, but rather that both are integral aspects of worship (as are all things we do in this life)! When we worship God, we are expressing our love for Him and praising Him. Our goal is to provide a rich atmosphere of worship where those in attendance can let go of the worries of this life and focus completely on the One who has all of it in His hands. In Psalm 59:16 we read, "But as for me, I shall sing of Your strength; Yes, I shall joyfully sing of Your lovingkindness in the morning, For You have been my stronghold and a refuge in the day of my distress." Since it is also our desire to provide an atmosphere of worship of the One true God, we strive to play and sing with excellence (Psalm 33:3). As a result, auditions are held for those who wish to be involved in the music ministry. If you are interested, please contact Rebecca Benjamin, our Music and Worship Ministries Coordinator, at Rebecca@buckschurch.org. Singing groups, instrumental music, and sometimes drama and dance are all aspects of worship that Bucks incorporates into Sunday morning worship experiences. Those who are involved in this ministry live out Psalm 100:2 which reads, "Serve the Lord with gladness; Come before Him with joyful singing." Join us! "O come, let us sing for joy to the Lord, let us shout joyfully to the rock of our salvation" Ps. 95:1

20s-30s Group

Have you ever walked into a room where you knew no one? There were lots of people all around you, yet you felt all alone? Unfortunately, this is how many young adults feel today in the church. Many churches do a great job meeting the needs of children, youth, married couples, and the elderly, but seem to forget the single, working, 20-somethings! Here at Bucks County Community Church we strive to meet the needs of every person in our congregation, which is why we have created a young adults ministry where those of college age to late 20’s don’t have to feel alone. We meet on Tuesday evenings from 6:30-8:30 at the Mino’s home. If you are interested in getting connected, building relationships, and growing in your walk with Christ, then please email Pastor Dave Woodley at pastordave@buckschurch.org or call 215-752-9945 and we will help you get connected!

Men's Fraternity

It is clear that men are struggling to find their identity and place in a world that views them as inept and useless. In these days, men feel like Ray Ramono from "Everybody Loves Raymond". No one respects their opinion, their children don't regard the weight of their words and their wives see them as more of a hindrance than a help. How can a man rise above the perception that culture has of him? The answer is not simple and the challenge is getting men not to believe the lies they have been hearing over the past 30 years. Men are created for and responsible to be leaders, protectors, teachers and advocates of their homes, churches and communities. Unfortunately, few recognize or want those God given responsibilities. The world has convinced a generation of men that they are incapable of being the caliber of man God has called them to be. So what is a man to do? At BCCC, we are committed to help men rise above the current cultural tide that strips them of their true masculinity and God given responsibilities through Men's Fraternity. God calls men to be on mission for Him in the home, church and community. Our goal is to help and show men how to be that kind of man. Men's Fraternity is a RealiT (reality) Group. What men are in desperate need of is a good dose of connecting with other men at a new level, a spiritual level. One way in which we try to engage men in the battle for their strength is through community with other men in a small group context. RealiT is an acronym that stands for the following: Relationship---with God and other men Encouragement---to stand against the tide of corrupt cultural influence Accountability---to maintain godliness in a godless world Loyalty---to know there is a band of brothers who care and empathize with their struggles and hold them in confidence Instruction---to grow in God's Word and wisdom Truth---to fight the lies that seek to destroy families, marriages and churches "Iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another." Proverbs 27:17 More than just a rally or a bible study, Men’s Fraternity provides men with an encouraging process that teaches them to live lives of authentic manhood as modeled by Jesus Christ and directed by the Word of God. Meetings are to be determined. If you would like to be a part of Men’s Fraternity please contact the church office or e-mail Pastor Ken at pastorken@buckschurch.org. Men’s Breakfast The BCCC Men’s Breakfast is a time for men to gather together to connect, share a good meal, and be spiritually fed with a devotional from various guest speakers. Where and When: The Men’s Breakfast is held on the last Saturday of every month at 8:30 am in the Fellowship Hall (except for the summer months, when it is held at a local park). Who: All men 16 and over are invited to attend! Men’s Sports The BCCC Men’s Sports Ministry provides men with opportunities year-round to fellowship and compete in a number of sports. In the spring and summer, we enter a team in the local Christian Fellowship Softball League. Every fall, we offer various sports games, including an annual turkey bowl flag football game. And in the winter, as well as other times throughout the year, we have tournaments, like our disc golf tournament. The goal of the Sports Ministry is to make disciples by using our passion for sports and crossing it over into a passion for following Jesus daily. Men’s Retreats The BCCC Men’s Retreat is an opportunity for men to get away for a weekend and spend some time with the guys. There is never a lack of learning, worship, games, activities and food at the annual retreat. Where and When: The Men’s Retreat is held every year in late October or early November at a local camp. Who: All men 16 and over are invited to attend! Men’s Activities The Men’s Ministry of BCCC offers a number of other activities and events for men, with a new activity offered at least every quarter. Past events have included: •Bowling •Clay Pigeon Shoot •BBQs •Pitch and Putt Golf •Paintball These events are designed to promote outreach and fellowship among men so that they can share their lives and encourage, support and inspire each other towards a closer relationship with Jesus. Small Groups

Here at Bucks Church we believe that Small Groups provide a wonderful and important opportunity for us to grow together as disciples of Jesus Christ and to learn how to make disciples. We trade the formality of a classroom for the intimacy of a living room as we dig into God’s Word together, seeking to understand it, apply it, and put it into practice in our lives. Because developing community and building close-knit relationships are critical to each Small Group’s effectiveness, we try to keep each group limited to about 12 people. If you would like to become part of a small group or simply have questions, you can contact the leaders below or email Pastor Mike (pastormike@buckschurch.org). Adult Christian Education

Our Adult Christian Education (or ACE) classes focus on providing disciples of Jesus Christ with biblically-rooted teaching and training on a number of topics for the dual purposes of encouraging personal growth and equipping participants to share what they have learned with others. Some of our ACE classes are also part of our Biblical Studies Program. These classes take a distinctly academic approach while delivering biblical instruction on par with that which one would receive in the Bible college or university setting. Participants should be prepared to commit several hours a week to these classes. If you would like to join an ACE class, please contact the teacher or email Pastor Mike (pastormike@buckschurch.org) Genesis 1-11 Teacher: Dr. Steve Moutoux Day/Time: Sundays; 9:00am-9:55am Location: Fellowship Hall Walk Thru the Bible Teacher: Tré s Getchell Day/Time: Wednesdays; 7:00pm-8:30pm Location: Fellowship Hall Biblical Studies Program: Biblical Interpretation Teacher: Pastor Mike Wynn Day/Time: Sundays; 6:00pm-8:00pm Location: Fellowship Hall Biblical Interpretation Syllabus

Deaf Ministry

Welcome to the Deaf ministry of Bucks County Community Church. Our goal is to minister to the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community in their language, American Sign Language. As a part of our ministry we offer ASL classes to help equip others to reach out to those in need. Our 2nd service (10:30am) is interpreted. We are planning an all ASL bible study to allow for deeper study without language barriers. Stay tuned for more events.
